NEW PTSA PROGRAM -- REFLECTIONS
The Tri-School PTSA is participating in the National PTA 'Reflections' program - an arts program that provides students an opportunity to express themselves creatively and receive positive recognition for their artist efforts. All students-regardless of artistic ability-may participate and have fun creating original art inspired by the theme: "My Favorite Place". Does your child have a favorite place? Perhaps you visited it this summer. Whatever or wherever it is, encourage your child to take the time after school to create and submit an original work in any one of the following areas:

Literature
Musical composition
Photography
Visual arts
Dance
Choreography
Film/Video Production

REFLECTIONS REVIEW:
* All pieces are due at your school office by the end of the day on Tues., Nov., 21, 2006. Call Julie at 829-6771 for rule packets and entry forms.

* Entries will be reviewed by a panel and selected works will be chosen to represent the Tri-School PTSA at the District level, however ' winning' will not be emphasized. Students may work on their entries at home or in after-school care.

* All entries submitted must be original works and must comply with entry guidelines and rules and relate to the "My Favorite Place" theme. Entries are due by Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006. An official entry form must be attached to the back of each entry.

* Each entry must be the work of only one student. Assistance from teachers, parents or friends is not permitted except in special cases (such as for those with visual or physical disabilities).

* Participation encourages creativity and exploration. Students should do their best - no one submitting an original work will be disqualify. A participation reception will be held.
